It was a late Saturday night. We had a super stubborn clog in some old galvanized pipes. Mr. Rooter send out Phil. Phil was great! He found the problem pretty quick. With determination and professionalism he final got it cleared out. I would recommend Mr. Rooter and Phil to anyone! He even cleaned up. We are so happy we choose Mr. Rooter!
We had a plumbing emergency and found Mr. Rooter while frantically searching for a 24-hour plumber. We feel like we hit a gold mine. Not only did we get a timely response. Everyone at Mr. Rooter was friendly, professional, competent and went above and beyond. Our plumber, Phil, was extremely helpful and gave us tips we could use moving firwars. Not to mention, the cost was extremely reasonable.
Had sewer water backup in toilet and tub. Received callback as promised and arrived early. The tech determined we needed the main line to be cleared. He quickly located the opening and had us cleared in minutes. Very happy with the service. I was not prepared for the fee but it was an emergency.
Plumber, Phil, came out on short notice on a Saturday night and fixed our issue quickly, professionally and courteously. I contacted a different, well known plumbing company right before Mr. Rooter. The receptionist was rude and they didn’t call me back to say they couldn’t make it until after Phil left! The Mr. Rooter receptionist was very nice and they called me back quickly. I’m glad they did.
I just wanted to say James did a great job at my house. Excellent service, professional and very nice. Thank you so much for helping me with my plumbing problem. Did wonderful job.
I was very happy that I went with Mr. Rooter’s. The service was very quick and up front. Jessie James was very helpful answering my questions and replacing my hot water heater. He was pleasurable to do business with. If another problem arises in my home, I will be using this company again.
A thorough, professional, pleasant experience. I had a back-up in the 50 year-old pipes of my new home. I called Mr. Rooter to have them locate the blockage, snake the line, and then use their video snake to get a visual of the integrity of the pipes. I’m glad that I called and will use them again for future needs.
You get what you pay for. Edwin Robles of Central NJ educated me as a 1st time homebuyer on why and what he was repairing, prevention, PROMPT,(on a sunday at that!) clean, knowledgeable, super professional but DOWN TO EARTH and at a REASONABLE PRICE! Sewer pipes unclogged and main water line fixed. I was no longer crying once job was thoroughly executed. After all $#@* $tinks but somebody has to do it and I HIGHLY recommend him and this company for a job well done. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!
Absolutely lovely office staff! I always knew when the repair person was coming. Lorenzo our repair guy was awesome, I really don't think there is anything he can't do. He looks young, but don't let that fool you! So happy all the repairs are behind us. We really just did a one-stop shopping and decided to have everything we've put off fixed because it was such a tremendous experience!
If you’ve taken your time to clean your toilet but there’s still a lingering smell, a clogged drain could be the culprit. A buildup of hair, soap scum, or other debris in the toilet drain pipe can produce a foul odor. If the clog is left unaddressed, it will worsen and cause more problems, including sewage backup and unhygienic conditions. Luckily, minor drain clogs are easy to clear using a mixture of baking soda and vinegar.
Pour one cup of baking soda into the clogged drain and add one cup of vinegar. Cover the drain with a plug and let the mixture sit for 15 minutes. The reaction between baking soda and vinegar will loosen the clog. Pour boiling water down the drain to clear the loose debris. If the drain is still clogged, call a local plumbing repair service in Hillsborough Township to help you clear the blockage.
A wax ring is a gasket that creates an airtight seal between the base of the toilet and the closet flange. This component prevents water and sewer gas from escaping. Even if your toilet is sparkling clean, a faulty wax ring can allow noxious sewer gases to waft into your bathroom. The wax ring can wear out as a result of improper installation or the toilet rocking back and forth. The first sign you’ll notice when the wax ring wears out is water pooling around your toilet. You may also notice a damp or spongy floor. A wo-out wax ring will need to be replaced to fix the problem and restore proper functioning. However, for a toilet that rocks back and forth, you’ll have to call a local plumbing company to check the condition of the toilet and make the necessary repairs. If repairs won’t address the problem, it may be time to consider toilet replacement.
Vent stacks, also known as plumbing vent pipes, remove sewer gases from the plumbing system. If the vent stacks are blocked, sewer gases can back up through your toilet drains, causing a foul odor. You may also notice gurgling sounds from the toilet when you flush. Get in touch with a local plumber to help you unclog your vent stacks.
Is there a musty odor coming from your toilet even after you’ve done thorough cleaning? If so, the culprit may be mold and mildew growing in the tank or under the rim. This problem is common in bathrooms with high humidity and those without proper ventilation. Unrepaired water leaks can also create a thriving environment for mold in the toilet and other areas of your bathroom. The appearance of mold in your bathroom is an indication of poor ventilation and excess humidity.
Mold growth inside the toilet tank is easy to resolve—pour one cup of baking soda into the tank and one cup of vinegar. Flush the toilet several times to remove the mold. For the mold growing under the rim, spray a solution of baking soda and vinegar around the area and let the mixture sit for about one hour. After waiting for one hour, use a toilet brush to scrub the surface and rinse with clean water. If your bathroom has poor ventilation, reach out to a professional plumber to install exhaust fans and fix water leaks.
