Had sewer water backup in toilet and tub. Received callback as promised and arrived early. The tech determined we needed the main line to be cleared. He quickly located the opening and had us cleared in minutes. Very happy with the service. I was not prepared for the fee but it was an emergency.

Plumber, Phil, came out on short notice on a Saturday night and fixed our issue quickly, professionally and courteously. I contacted a different, well known plumbing company right before Mr. Rooter. The receptionist was rude and they didn’t call me back to say they couldn’t make it until after Phil left! The Mr. Rooter receptionist was very nice and they called me back quickly. I’m glad they did.

I was very happy that I went with Mr. Rooter’s. The service was very quick and up front. Jessie James was very helpful answering my questions and replacing my hot water heater. He was pleasurable to do business with. If another problem arises in my home, I will be using this company again.

Brick Township, NJ

A thorough, professional, pleasant experience. I had a back-up in the 50 year-old pipes of my new home. I called Mr. Rooter to have them locate the blockage, snake the line, and then use their video snake to get a visual of the integrity of the pipes. I’m glad that I called and will use them again for future needs.

You get what you pay for. Edwin Robles of Central NJ educated me as a 1st time homebuyer on why and what he was repairing, prevention, PROMPT,(on a sunday at that!) clean, knowledgeable, super professional but DOWN TO EARTH and at a REASONABLE PRICE! Sewer pipes unclogged and main water line fixed. I was no longer crying once job was thoroughly executed. After all $#@* $tinks but somebody has to do it and I HIGHLY recommend him and this company for a job well done. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!

Absolutely lovely office staff! I always knew when the repair person was coming. Lorenzo our repair guy was awesome, I really don't think there is anything he can't do. He looks young, but don't let that fool you! So happy all the repairs are behind us. We really just did a one-stop shopping and decided to have everything we've put off fixed because it was such a tremendous experience!

What To Do When You Have Water Heater Leak?

Water heater leaks can cause serious water damage to the surrounding areas, and cause you to need new flooring, subflooring, or even walls. Considering most water heaters are in the basement, you may not notice the leak for a couple of days or maybe even weeks, meaning that water has just been sitting there doing nothing but causing problems. Standing water causes the growth of mold and mildew, which if not taken care of or removed properly, can cause major health issues for you and your family.

If you are dealing with a water heater leak, the team at Mr. Rooter Plumbing strongly encourages you to get one of our team members on the phone so we can send someone out to assess your water heater and put in the proper solutions to avoid any future issues. Are you wondering how you should deal with a water heater leak? Keep reading to find out…

The most important thing you should do first once you notice your water heater is leaking is shut off both the power supply and the water supply. If you have an electric water heater, you need to find the switch on your circuit break or electrical panel and immediately shut off the power to it. If you have a gas water heater, you need to find the on/off switch on the unit itself. This button is typically on the bottom of the heater unit.

To prevent more water from leaking out of your water heater, you need to tu off the water supply to your water heater’s tank. Your water heater has a shut-off valve attached to it at the top of your unit, so you simply need to close this valve so no more water can enter your tank. If you can’t find or tu this valve, you need to shut off your main water source to your home.

One of the most efficient ways to deal with a water heater leak is routine maintenance. Regular water heater maintenance will allow you to catch any issues before they get worse so that you extend the life of your water heater for as long as possible.

Do you need water heater leak repair? Are you dealing with a water heater leak but you can’t find the source? Do you need regular water heater maintenance? Sounds like you need the reliable plumbers at Mr. Rooter Plumbing! We offer a wide variety of plumbing services, including water heater leak repair or detection. Call our office today to lea more.
