Had sewer water backup in toilet and tub. Received callback as promised and arrived early. The tech determined we needed the main line to be cleared. He quickly located the opening and had us cleared in minutes. Very happy with the service. I was not prepared for the fee but it was an emergency.

Plumber, Phil, came out on short notice on a Saturday night and fixed our issue quickly, professionally and courteously. I contacted a different, well known plumbing company right before Mr. Rooter. The receptionist was rude and they didn’t call me back to say they couldn’t make it until after Phil left! The Mr. Rooter receptionist was very nice and they called me back quickly. I’m glad they did.

A thorough, professional, pleasant experience. I had a back-up in the 50 year-old pipes of my new home. I called Mr. Rooter to have them locate the blockage, snake the line, and then use their video snake to get a visual of the integrity of the pipes. I’m glad that I called and will use them again for future needs.

You get what you pay for. Edwin Robles of Central NJ educated me as a 1st time homebuyer on why and what he was repairing, prevention, PROMPT,(on a sunday at that!) clean, knowledgeable, super professional but DOWN TO EARTH and at a REASONABLE PRICE! Sewer pipes unclogged and main water line fixed. I was no longer crying once job was thoroughly executed. After all $#@* $tinks but somebody has to do it and I HIGHLY recommend him and this company for a job well done. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!

Absolutely lovely office staff! I always knew when the repair person was coming. Lorenzo our repair guy was awesome, I really don't think there is anything he can't do. He looks young, but don't let that fool you! So happy all the repairs are behind us. We really just did a one-stop shopping and decided to have everything we've put off fixed because it was such a tremendous experience!

How Do I Fix Low Water Pressure in My House?

  • Check the Main Water Shutoff Valve

Are you experiencing low water pressure throughout your home? The first thing you should do is check if your water shutoff valve is fully open. This valve may be half-shut after undertaking plumbing repairs or renovations in your home. The main water shutoff valve is commonly found near the water meter or in the basement. It is important that you know the location of this valve and test it regularly to make sure it is not stuck. Knowing its location can come in handy when you encounter a plumbing emergency such as a burst pipe. If the valve is not in good working order, call a skilled local plumber for help.

  • Inspect Your Pipes

Another common cause of low water pressure is clogged water supply lines. Your pipes can become clogged due to mineral buildup, pipe damage, and tree root intrusion. Even a small tree root can interfere with your water pressure and bring your household routine to a grinding halt. If you have hard water in your home, the minerals in the water will accumulate on the pipe walls and eventually reduce the diameter. It is advisable to have a professional plumbing service install a water softener. In addition, it is important to inspect your pipes regularly to identify potential blockages and have them fixed before they compromise your water pressure.

  • Check the Water Pressure Regulator

A water pressure regulator is installed on the incoming water supply line to keep water pressure in check. The acceptable water pressure for a home’s plumbing infrastructure is between 40 and 80 pounds per square inch. This control valve can fail as a result of normal use, mechanical problems, and exteal factors such as incorrect installation. When a water pressure regulator fails, the pressure may drop to a trickle or go above the acceptable limit. If your water pressure regulator has malfunctioned, call a professional plumbing service for an inspection.

  • Clean Faucet Aerators

Faucet aerators regulate the amount of water exiting the faucet by mixing air with the flowing water. These devices are installed at the end of a faucet to create a more consistent stream of water. When they become clogged with mineral buildup and sediment, the water pressure in the affected faucets can drop below the acceptable level. Thankfully, cleaning clogged faucet aerators is a simple task that doesn’t require any professional expertise or special tools. Simply take the aerator apart and soak the parts in white vinegar for 5 minutes. Scrub the parts with a brush and rinse them under water. If you still experience the same problem after cleaning your faucet aerator, it may be time to call a professional plumber to replace them.
