Had sewer water backup in toilet and tub. Received callback as promised and arrived early. The tech determined we needed the main line to be cleared. He quickly located the opening and had us cleared in minutes. Very happy with the service. I was not prepared for the fee but it was an emergency.

Little Silver Township

Plumber, Phil, came out on short notice on a Saturday night and fixed our issue quickly, professionally and courteously. I contacted a different, well known plumbing company right before Mr. Rooter. The receptionist was rude and they didn’t call me back to say they couldn’t make it until after Phil left! The Mr. Rooter receptionist was very nice and they called me back quickly. I’m glad they did.

I was very happy that I went with Mr. Rooter’s. The service was very quick and up front. Jessie James was very helpful answering my questions and replacing my hot water heater. He was pleasurable to do business with. If another problem arises in my home, I will be using this company again.

Brick Township, NJ

A thorough, professional, pleasant experience. I had a back-up in the 50 year-old pipes of my new home. I called Mr. Rooter to have them locate the blockage, snake the line, and then use their video snake to get a visual of the integrity of the pipes. I’m glad that I called and will use them again for future needs.

You get what you pay for. Edwin Robles of Central NJ educated me as a 1st time homebuyer on why and what he was repairing, prevention, PROMPT,(on a sunday at that!) clean, knowledgeable, super professional but DOWN TO EARTH and at a REASONABLE PRICE! Sewer pipes unclogged and main water line fixed. I was no longer crying once job was thoroughly executed. After all $#@* $tinks but somebody has to do it and I HIGHLY recommend him and this company for a job well done. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!

Absolutely lovely office staff! I always knew when the repair person was coming. Lorenzo our repair guy was awesome, I really don't think there is anything he can't do. He looks young, but don't let that fool you! So happy all the repairs are behind us. We really just did a one-stop shopping and decided to have everything we've put off fixed because it was such a tremendous experience!

Dos and Don’ts For Kitchen Drains

  • Use Sink Drain Guards

This is a simple and inexpensive way to keep your kitchen drains clog-free. Drain guards are designed to filter out food particles, debris, and other items, ensuring only water goes down the drain. Sink drain guards are cheap and easy to clean, making them a great option for keeping your drains clog-free.

  • Run Hot Water down Your Drain Regularly

Even if you scrape most of the grease, fats, and food scraps from your plates, pans, pots, and other utensils, some particles will still find their way into the drains while you wash your utensils. To prevent them from sticking to your pipes walls and eventually causing blockages, flush your kitchen drains with steaming hot water periodically. Hot water can help dislodge any grease or debris lurking in your kitchen drains.

  • Use Cold Water at High Pressure When Using Your Garbage Disposal

It is always recommended to use cold water at full pressure when running your garbage disposal to help push food waste through your pipes. Cold water helps keep grease and fats congealed and solid inside the appliance, thereby reducing the risk of sticking to the pipe walls. Hot water, on the other hand, can melt the grease and fats, which will then move further down the drain and re-solidify, causing a blockage in the pipes.

  • Call an Experienced Plumber In Case Of Emergencies

If your kitchen drains are clogged and you’re unable to clear them on your own, call a professional plumber to help you out. A professional plumber has the expertise, experience, and state-of-the-art tools to deal with all types of kitchen plumbing emergencies.

Don’ts:

  • Don’t Pour Grease, Oil, Or Fat Down The Drain

While it may seem harmless to dispose of grease, cooking oil, and fat in your kitchen drains, the three things are a real threat to your drain lines. Even if they are in a liquid state, grease, cooking oil, and fats will solidify in the pipes, causing clogs in your kitchen drains. Instead of dumping them down the drains, scrape them into a container and toss them in a trash can.

  • Don’t Use Chemical Drain Cleaners

Store-bought drain cleaners contain harsh, toxic chemicals that can harm your pipes in the long run. Always opt for non-toxic options, like baking soda and vinegar.

  • Don’t Overload Your Garbage Disposal

Feed small amounts of food waste into your garbage disposal, allowing the appliance time to grind up the food. Overloading your garbage disposal with too much food waste at once will overwhelm the appliance and cause drain clogs.
