Had sewer water backup in toilet and tub. Received callback as promised and arrived early. The tech determined we needed the main line to be cleared. He quickly located the opening and had us cleared in minutes. Very happy with the service. I was not prepared for the fee but it was an emergency.

Little Silver Township

Plumber, Phil, came out on short notice on a Saturday night and fixed our issue quickly, professionally and courteously. I contacted a different, well known plumbing company right before Mr. Rooter. The receptionist was rude and they didn’t call me back to say they couldn’t make it until after Phil left! The Mr. Rooter receptionist was very nice and they called me back quickly. I’m glad they did.

I was very happy that I went with Mr. Rooter’s. The service was very quick and up front. Jessie James was very helpful answering my questions and replacing my hot water heater. He was pleasurable to do business with. If another problem arises in my home, I will be using this company again.

William Holden

Brick Township, NJ

A thorough, professional, pleasant experience. I had a back-up in the 50 year-old pipes of my new home. I called Mr. Rooter to have them locate the blockage, snake the line, and then use their video snake to get a visual of the integrity of the pipes. I’m glad that I called and will use them again for future needs.

You get what you pay for. Edwin Robles of Central NJ educated me as a 1st time homebuyer on why and what he was repairing, prevention, PROMPT,(on a sunday at that!) clean, knowledgeable, super professional but DOWN TO EARTH and at a REASONABLE PRICE! Sewer pipes unclogged and main water line fixed. I was no longer crying once job was thoroughly executed. After all $#@* $tinks but somebody has to do it and I HIGHLY recommend him and this company for a job well done. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!

Absolutely lovely office staff! I always knew when the repair person was coming. Lorenzo our repair guy was awesome, I really don't think there is anything he can't do. He looks young, but don't let that fool you! So happy all the repairs are behind us. We really just did a one-stop shopping and decided to have everything we've put off fixed because it was such a tremendous experience!

Do It Yourself Plumbing Tips

While DIY plumbing projects aren’t always recommended, there are some things you can do yourself to prepare your plumbing for the increase of use that’s to come in the next couple of months, especially if your budget doesn’t include room for plumbing repairs.

We asked the Mr. Rooter Plumbing team what their #1 tips are for DIY plumbing repairs, and this is what they came up with…

Having little to no water pressure is annoying – it makes cleaning dishes take longer, and it definitely makes showering a hassle. If you’re looking for a quick-fix solution for weak water pressure, you can simply unscrew your showerhead and soak it in a descaling solution. This kind of solution can be found at any hardware store, and soaking it will break up any junk that’s built up in or around your showerhead.

2.  Clogged toilet

If you’re dealing with a toilet that won’t flush and you’re planning on having Thanksgiving at your home, you need a quick solution to unclog it. You can use the good old plunger method to unclog your toilet if you need a quick fix, but this doesn’t serve as a long-term solution. If you deal with frequent clogging, you should call Mr. Rooter Plumbing for a long-term fix.

3.  Clogged sink

Your kitchen is supposed to smell like fresh baked cookies and bread, not rotten eggs. If you are dealing with a rotten smell coming from your kitchen sink, you are most likely experiencing a clog and need a DIY fix. For this, we recommend mixing vinegar and baking soda, pouring it into your drain, and watch the magic happen. This mixture will unclog your drain without causing any long-term damage.

4.  Shut off your water switch

Water leaks are a common issue people deal with when it comes to their plumbing appliances. If you are dealing with a toilet or sink leak, you need to tu off your water immediately. But not everyone knows how to shut off their water switch. The toilet valve is typically behind your base, simply tu it to ‘off’, and you can assess the situation. If it’s a kitchen sink leak, you will most likely need to tu off your main water switch, which you need to know where that is located.

Are you dealing with plumbing issues but don’t have time to get a local plumber to your home? Do you need a DIY solution to your plumbing issue? Mr. Rooter Plumbing has some DIY plumbing tips for you! Whether you’re dealing with a water leak and need to shut off your water, or you’re dealing with a clogged toilet, these tips are here to help you!
