Had sewer water backup in toilet and tub. Received callback as promised and arrived early. The tech determined we needed the main line to be cleared. He quickly located the opening and had us cleared in minutes. Very happy with the service. I was not prepared for the fee but it was an emergency.

Plumber, Phil, came out on short notice on a Saturday night and fixed our issue quickly, professionally and courteously. I contacted a different, well known plumbing company right before Mr. Rooter. The receptionist was rude and they didn’t call me back to say they couldn’t make it until after Phil left! The Mr. Rooter receptionist was very nice and they called me back quickly. I’m glad they did.

I was very happy that I went with Mr. Rooter’s. The service was very quick and up front. Jessie James was very helpful answering my questions and replacing my hot water heater. He was pleasurable to do business with. If another problem arises in my home, I will be using this company again.

Brick Township, NJ

A thorough, professional, pleasant experience. I had a back-up in the 50 year-old pipes of my new home. I called Mr. Rooter to have them locate the blockage, snake the line, and then use their video snake to get a visual of the integrity of the pipes. I’m glad that I called and will use them again for future needs.

You get what you pay for. Edwin Robles of Central NJ educated me as a 1st time homebuyer on why and what he was repairing, prevention, PROMPT,(on a sunday at that!) clean, knowledgeable, super professional but DOWN TO EARTH and at a REASONABLE PRICE! Sewer pipes unclogged and main water line fixed. I was no longer crying once job was thoroughly executed. After all $#@* $tinks but somebody has to do it and I HIGHLY recommend him and this company for a job well done. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!

Absolutely lovely office staff! I always knew when the repair person was coming. Lorenzo our repair guy was awesome, I really don't think there is anything he can't do. He looks young, but don't let that fool you! So happy all the repairs are behind us. We really just did a one-stop shopping and decided to have everything we've put off fixed because it was such a tremendous experience!

Are You Dealing with a Loose Toilet Handle?

A loose toilet handle can mean that something just came loose inside your toilet bowl. Some homeowners freak out that their entire toilet is broken since they have a loose toilet handle, but that is far from the truth. Think of a loose toilet handle like a loose screw – you just need to determine where it’s loose, tighten it with the proper tools, and your item (your toilet in this case) will be brand new in no time.

Are you looking for simple steps to fix a loose toilet handle on your toilet? Mr. Rooter Plumbing has compiled the steps into one easy guide for you to follow. Keep reading to follow them…

  1. Close the toilet: The first thing you’ll want to do when trying to fix a loose toilet handle is closing the toilet seat cover so nothing falls into the toilet bowl.
  2. Remove the tank cover: Once your toilet seat is covered, you can start the DIY fix process by removing the cover of your toilet tank. To ensure your safety, you’ll want to use two hands to lift it – it can tend to be heavy. Set the tank cover on a flat surface where it can’t fall and crack.
  3. Shut off the water: This is one of the most important steps because if you don’t shut off your water, this DIY project is going to get messy very quickly. The shut-off valve is located right next to your toilet towards the base. Simply tu it off, give it a couple of minutes, and then you can move on to the next step.
  4. Empty the tank: Once you have the water off, you’ll want to press the toilet tank lever so the toilet tank gets emptied. This is necessary to give you better access to the inside of your toilet tank.
  5. Find the toilet handle nut: This piece will be on the same side as your toilet handle, and this is the source of your loose handle.
  6. Tighten the toilet handle nut: Use a wrench or pair of pliers to tighten this piece. Make sure to tighten it enough, without overdoing it and cracking the porcelain of your toilet.
  7. Test it: Once you have tightened the toilet handle nut, it’s time to test the handle to see if it’s working properly.
  8. Tu the water back on: Once you know your toilet handle isn’t loose anymore, you can tu your water back on and go about your day.

Is your toilet handle loose and you need a toilet repair? Are you looking for a DIY solution to a loose toilet handle? Is it finally time for a toilet replacement? Give the team at Mr. Rooter Plumbing a call today for all your toilet repair needs!
